Famous Diamonds: The Centenary Diamond
THE CENTENARY DIAMOND The Centenary was discovered in July of 1986 in the Premier Mine. In its rough state it weighted 599,10ct. It took 3 years for Gabi Tolkowski, along with his lapidary specialists, to transform the stone in one of the largest cut diamonds in the world. The Centenary has 247 facets and weights 273,85. It is only surpassed by the Cullinan I and Cullinan II. The Centenary is in London since 1991.
